Do you like trivia? I do, especially when it’s about my favorite subjects: baking, history, travel, and writing. As the unofficial family historian, I’m also fascinated by unusual or funny stories of those who came before me.
But I don’t just collect these nuggets, I also enjoy sharing them with anyone who will stand still long enough to listen. That’s why when we designed my website, we included a Did You Know? section. A place for me to share a lifetime accumulation of personal and travel experiences; stories collected from family, friends, and others; as well as random facts that have caught my attention.
Unlike my novel writing, though, these weekly posts will be short. A quick read that will make you smile or maybe just shake your head—and some are definitely head-shaking worthy. For those, I’ll even add a “TISTF” or “Truth is Stranger than Fiction” label.
So, if you’re interested in funny stories, useless—and sometimes not so useless—tidbits of information, sign up to have my weekly Did You Know? newsletter sent directly to your inbox.
Now, read my first post: Did You Know Armadillos don’t fare well in . . . Guam?
I’m so looking forward to this! Your travels and your research has given you a lot to work with.
So true, Cindy. I have pages of Did You Know ideas I can’t wait to share.
Yay! I finally received my confirmation email. I was beginning to think it went into cyberspace! Can’t wait to read all of your works and TISTF.
Glad to have you officially aboard, Mary. I re-sent the “Please confirm your newsletter subscription” email to everyone who was still unconfirmed. I guess some of y’all were watching for it because you are one of three who completed the process today. Yah!
